Dr. Tara Carroll

Dr. Carroll knows firsthand what a transformed smile can do. At just seven years old, she began orthodontic treatment and spent more than five years in braces. The confidence she gained inspired a career dedicated to helping others feel that same joy.

Dr. Carroll completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida in 1999.  She moved to Colorado to pursue her dental education, receiving the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Dental Honor Society Award and graduating Magna Cum Laude with her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2005.  She began her career in a corporate practice before founding her own private practice in 2007, Larkridge Family Dentistry. After a decade of growth in the Larkridge Shopping Center, the practice relocated to a larger Erie office in 2017 (Larkridge Family & Cosmetic Dentistry) and rebranded as Carroll Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in 2023. 

Dr Carroll's passion for dental knowledge and skills are forever evolving through dental continuing education, taking many courses in implants, cosmetic dentistry, clear aligner therapy, digital dentistry, practice management to name a few.

Dr Carroll is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, the Metro Denver Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, The American Academy of Clear Aligners, Dawson Academy Alumni, and Spear Education Study Club member. Dr Carroll has been voted in Denver's 5280 Magazine as one of "Colorado's Top Dentists" by her peers. Dr Carroll's practice has also been nominated as Nextdoor's Neighborhood Fave Award 6 times.

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Carroll is passionate about prevention-focused care and treating the whole patient, believing oral health is deeply connected to overall wellness. She and her team proudly serve families across Erie, Broomfield, Lafayette, Westminster, Thornton, Brighton, Firestone, Frederick, Dacono, Northglenn, and Longmont, and are active supporters of local schools, sports teams, and community events.

Outside the office, Dr. Carroll is a fitness enthusiast who runs, walks, lifts, and trains her dogs, who are frequent office visitors. She loves photography, exploring new cities and countries, and has recently discovered a talent for designing custom cabinetry and home remodeling. A fun fact: she played rugby in college.
